Which is your nationality?
Argentinean.
Where are you currently living?
In Caballito, a neighbourhood very “hood” of Buenos Aires.
How would you define at your work?
Sporadic. I’m the least constant illustrator that I’ve ever known. Even though I know a lot of illustrators!!
Key moments in your professional career:
As an illustrator, I think that my key moments are: the first cover that I illustrated Caídos del Mapa (the moment that I assumed that drawing could be an important part of my life), and that VER has chosen me to be part of Naturaleza Apasionada. It was the first time that one of my illustration appeared in a T-Shirt of selloff.
Where can we find your work? (publications, exhibitions, products, etc.)
In the series of Caídos del Mapa from Quipu Editions and in the series of Naturaleza Apasionada from VER inspired by Monoblock. My first notebook for Monoblock is out of stock. :)
What inspires you?
Having a sporadic job, I’m very influenced by the experiences and images that go through that moment of my life where I catch the pencil and start drawing. This year I fell in love with elephants. But there are recurrent ideas, such as unicorns. My imagination tends -almost obsessively- to fantasy. To travel and observed the feminine world are two inexhaustible sources of ideas. And the music. I believe that in my inside I go dancing and singing all the time
A Song: Dance Magic, David Bowie (from Laberynth movie). It gives me instant happiness.
A book: I can’t, there has to be at least two. Alice in Wonderland and the Enciclopedia de las Cosas que Nunca Existieron. And if you let me I add The Secret of Nimh and The Wizard of Oz, and...
A city: New York
A happy memory: Thousands. My life is full of lovely and unforgettable moments. I think is because I choose to see it this way. Once someone told me that “very optimistic people suffers terrible heartbreaks. I won’t lie: when I cry, I cry deeply. But I feel that that gives me an incredible strength... and that I will never lose my heart neither my joy.
