We edit contents that cause astonishment, happiness and desire to get to work. We are curious. We like to create our own rules, paint off the lines, learn. But most of all, we like to do what we do. With productive processes that respect our planet and also people. With ambition for quality. With a smile. With love. From Buenos Aires, Argentina, to the world.

THE FACTORY OF THE IMAGINATION

We believe that art does not belong only to the walls of galleries, just as we believe that galleries should not be the only space of consecration of artists. We believe that the imagination, expressed in the works of our authors, belongs to the world. And it's time for it to enter your house, and your life.

Monoblock's mission is to promote the integration of the artistic community it represents, into the daily life of our society. We create opportunities for artists and public to connect, get to know each other and inspire each other. We believe in the Power of Imagination. We want to contribute to awaken it, in every human being in which it is asleep, through a message of love.

BECAUSE WHERE THERE IS LOVE, THERE IS FREEDOM. AND WHERE THERE IS LOVE AND FREEDOM, THERE IS CREATION. LIVE THE LOVE!

A bit of history

Vik & Pablo at Monoblock

Monoblock was always a love story. Created by Vik (illustrator, publisher) and Pablo (designer, entrepreneur) in February 2004, it began as the life project that would unite this pair of creative self-taught professionals. Originally they worked as branding agency, working for important national and international brands. And although their project grew, they both felt there was something else to do ... together.

Fascinated with the talented young artists who were discovering day by day through social networks, and with the conviction that it was possible to create an innovative publishing model, they embarked on an unexpected adventure: to integrate these "contents" (and " Micro" contents) to designed products.

In 2006, and with the support of a few illustrators, they created the Author's Notebooks. They chose this support for several reasons, but fundamentally because, being users of notebooks, they did not find one they liked. They decided to work with limited series, each inspired by a single concept. The first carried a universal message of love, Live the love. Read the Manifesto Live the Love by clicking here.

At the same time, they began to organize exhibitions with each new series they launched, facilitating the encounter between artists and the general public: Monoblock Tours brought the proposal to design events in Cordoba, Rosario, Corrientes, Santiago de Chile. Soulful travelers, did not hesitate to get into their car loaded with boxes so that more and more people could incorporate the imagination of Monoblock into their lives. Participating since 2007 in Trimarchi DG (Mar del Plata), the most important design event in Latin America, and since 2009 at the Puro Diseño fair in Buenos Aires, as well as any cultural event to which they are invited to share their universe.

In 2009 they created - with the support as co-organizer of the 90 + 10 magazine - the Uncovered Applied Illustration Award, an opportunity for "novel" illustrators to be published in a Monoblock Notebook. In its first edition participated more than 500 illustrators (professionals and amateurs) of all Latin America. Their efforts to connect and professionalize the field of illustration was also extended in the form of talks and other content always open to the general public.

In 2010 they created alongside the clothing brand ver® the collection "VER inspired by monoblock®". This limited edition of t-shirts and dresses with prints specially developed by a group of women artists under a guiding concept that is renewed each year, is launched every 21 September. They already go for the seventh edition and promise many more.

In 2012 they opened their first physical store in the cultural gallery Patio del Liceo. In 2013, they inaugurated a second store and headquarters in Palermo Soho. And in 2016 they opened their first store in another country: in Barranco, Lima (Peru).

To date, Monoblock Industry of Imagineering has edited more than 50 renowned artists (among them Ricardo Siri Liniers, Tute, Mia Astral, Powerpaola, Lucilismo, Nate Williams, Gemma Correll and other illustrators, designers, writers, makers, photographers , Etc.) from Argentina and the rest of the world, in functional products that bring beauty and happiness to everyday things. Their project, which continues to grow independently, seeks to build bridges between art and daily life, to multiply inspiration and to claim the Power of Imagination.
